Business Manager – Gordon Street Surgery

This is a brand-new role in a new organisational structure. You will work closely with and be fully supported by the highly experienced East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership (ESPCP) management team (may also be referred to as the East Staffordshire Primary Care Network ( ESPCN) management team, to turn around a failed GMS contract creating a successful primary care service provider under new systems and structure.

You will be a team player, energetic, be innovative and adaptable and able to embrace and create a collaborative, organic new team ethos.

Although the overarching accountability and management of the contract sits with the ESPCP management team, you are responsible for the day to day running of the business and finances. You will have overarching line management and will coordinate all aspects of the organisation’s business functionality.

Your focus will be on financial and business management but will also include, motivating and managing staff, with a focus on optimising efficiency and financial performance.

You will work with the ESPCP team and the practice staff to implement Quality and Outcomes framework, Quality Improvement Framework, Direct Enhances Services and Local Enhanced Services, Universal offer and other elements of practice income and expenditure. Which in turn will reward the practice for providing improved quality of care and maximise practice income and resilience.

You will also work with the ESPCP team to ensure we have high functioning and motivated practice staff working in a safe and effective environment. 

Through innovative ways of working, you will lead the team in promoting Equality Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I ) Safety, Health Environment and Fire (SHEF) quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development and ensure the organisation complies with CQC regulations.
